Philip Patston has been a social worker, human rights activist, soap opera actor, columnist, New Zealand Social Entrepreneur Fellow, Winston Churchill Fellow, trailblazing and award-winning comedian, and New Zealand’s inaugural Queer of the Year (as voted by TV show Queer Nation). These days he’s a much-sought-after consultant, life coach, motivational speaker, and social entrepreneur.

We recently came across one of Philip’s hilarious comedy videos, and asked him if he’d write a short preamble to the footage for Irked’s readers.

As usual, he came up with something outrageously funny:

“The clip you are about to view is the product of many years of intensive therapy, spiritual revelation and cynical self-analysis. If you watch it and wonder if you missed something, you shouldn’t worry—there is very little to miss. If, on the other hand, you have an epiphany, a revelation or any other such exaggerated response, you might consider being very, very afraid. Either way, do not make any life changing decisions in the next 24 hours and it should pass.”

THIS IS PHILIP PATSTON
