Lewis Schofield: reporting on the future of Lewiscorp.
For quite some time—since I was 4 years old—I’ve talked about building my own company called Lewiscorp. From time to time, people ask me if Lewiscorp intends to acquire Microsoft at some point in the future. To that question I answer, “No.”
In my opinion, all this monkeying around with the various Windows operating systems has caused considerable damage to their name. Yes, I believe that Microsoft has ruined its business name, and Lewiscorp will not take on the responsibility of fixing that name.
How badly do I believe that name is tarnished? If I was the Chairman of Microsoft, I would declare the company’s destruction imminent.
OK, I wouldn’t exactly declare the company’s destruction imminent. I would, however, dismantle the corporation and sell off all the assets. You see, while I believe that the Windows operating system fiasco has severely damaged Microsoft, I also believe that there are parts of Microsoft that are definitely worth salvaging and liquidating into cash before more damage is incurred by way of the operating system problem.
I would then put all the profits from those sales in the bank and collect interest. As you well know, the interest from such sales would be enormous … perhaps astronomical in terms of zeroes and commas required to properly represent the enormity of it all. When the account had accrued enough interest, I would disperse the proceeds to charities I like.
Anyway, check back with me in 2 or 3 years to see how Lewiscorp intends to change the world. Maybe I’ll be in a position to give you an update on Microsoft and its Windows operating systems.

I’m a kid with Asperger Syndrome and a lot of other disabilities like Anxiety Disorder, Sensory Integration Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, Severe Allergies and Asthma. I also have myasthenia gravis.
Like my mom says, just because I have an alphabet soup of disorders doesn’t mean that I am alphabet soup. I’m a kid with cool ideas and I know a lot about computers, gaming systems, video games and some about programming. I have my own websites (www.thisislewis.net, theblogofcodeboy.wordpress.com) and it’s my job to make sure that everything on the site works well for visitors.
Everything on my website is original content because I’m a professional kid with Asperger’s and cool ideas. My inspiration is my cat Lola, who I received from the Humane Society, and my work is mostly done with her purring next to me.
