Back in November, we highlighted an extraordinary documentary called Autism: the Musical. The film introduced Neal, Lexi, Henry, Adam and Wyatt—five autistic kids who, along with their parents, take part in a groundbreaking theatrical workshop as part of The Miracle Project. Suffice it to say, the children “defied diagnosed expectations”…by writing, rehearsing and performing their own full-length musical!

Well, Autism: The Musical and The Miracle Project caught the attention of quite a few celebrities, and some Hollywood heavyweights have rolled up their sleeves to get involved.

Excitingly, the Miracle Project’s debut album will be released this summer!

Fly: INTO THE WORLD OF AUTISM is a joint venture between The Miracle Project and indie record label SMG Music. Proceeds from the album will help support the budgetary needs of The Miracle Project foundation. The album will feature The Miracle Project kids singing alongside celebrity artists such as Jack Black, Stephen Stills (aka Henry’s dad), Kid Frost, Taylor Parks and a duet with Hayley Knight and Drew Seely on a song by David Lawrence and Faye Greenberg (High School Musical 1,2 and 3). Other artists include Holly Robinson Peete in a song produced by Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, and Latin sensation Shalim Ortiz.

—”Sensitive,” the first preview track to be made available to the public, is a fun and catchy new song produced by the legendary Stephen Stills. Watch behind-the-scenes footage of an awesome recording session that took place between Jack Black and Wyatt Isaacs, star of the Emmy award-winning HBO film Autism: The Musical:

I tried to order the DVD from Amazon, but they didn’t like my postal code, even though it is a perfectly good postal code and other people in the neighbourhood share it. Is there ANY OTHER way that I can buy this thing? I tried leaving a msg with Amazon but they wanted an order number, which they wouldn’t give me since they didn’t like the code – well, not logical. Tends to tick off an aspie. Please help. Thanks, from Comox, BC

PS – LOVE the song. Love the site. Many thanks for giving us something to laugh about with others.
