iFactor contest: CNIB Lake Joseph Centre is searching for the next Canadian superstar, and it could be you!

Located in the heart of Muskoka, Ontario CNIB Lake Joseph Centre (Lake Joe) is a world leader in providing people with vision loss with life-changing experiences. Lake Joe is a fully accessible recreational facility that provides a fun and safe environment for people of all ages with vision loss.
And now…CNIB Lake Joseph Centre is searching for the next Canadian superstar! If you’re 16 years or older and have vision loss, it could be you!
iFactor is a contest sponsored by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). Participants are asked to submit a two-minute (or less) video showcasing their musical talents. The top 10 competitors—as determined by online votes—will win a free week-long stay at Camp Joe. While at Camp Joe, the top 10 finalists will receive professional music coaching and stage presence training, among other training. Afterwards, the finalists will compete for the grand prize—a chance to open for award- winning musician, Order of Canada recipient, and Canadian legend Terry Kelly.
The deadline to enter is July 13
Live finale on August 8
Top 10 finalists receive:
- Round trip transportation with a companion to CNIB Lake Joseph Centre, Muskoka, Ontario
- Food and accommodation at Lake Joe
- Professional musical training, stage lessons and more
- A chance to win the grand prize during the live finale on August 8, 2009
Grand prize winner will:
- Receive round trip transportation for two to a city in Canada
- Be provided with food and accommodation at a hotel in Canada
- Perform as the opening act for Terry Kelly, award-winning, Juno nominee, singer-songwriter at a concert of Terry’s selection
