An urgent appeal from Julia Barry:
Hi everyone, I wrote in my last e-news about the Nau Grant for Change that’s based partially on public vote—“In Her Image” needs at least 100 votes to be considered for the grant and right now I only have 24, so I’m writing with my chutzpah pen
to ask you again to vote (thank you if you did vote)! Please rate “In Her Image” with 5 stars by August 31st by going to http://www.nau.com/collective/grant-for-change/julia-barry-643.html.share and clicking on the 5th star. You will need to register and login to do this which I know is a pain, but if you could take the extra second to do this, I’ll be eternally grateful. THANK YOU! Please let me know how I can help your work in return.
*Please note: This grant would allow Julia to work full-time on In Her Image outreach, content updating, and curriculum expansion.

About Nau.com’s G4C Grant For Change:
Nau.com is currently sponsoring its first annual $10,000 Grant for Change, supporting those who instigate lasting, positive change in their communities. For the past six weeks they’ve been inviting the public to nominate athletes, artists and activists who move in the spirit of the Nau Collective. Throughout the nomination period they’ve received submissions highlighting projects and people from across the globe. The story of change does not end here. From today until August 31st, nominations are closed, and voting is open to determine the public’s TOP FIVE FINALISTS. Two main factors determine the public’s Top Five eligibility: (1) A minimum of 100 votes; and (2) The highest average rating. At the same time, a panel of Nau employees and advisors will select Nau’s own Top Five. For these five, they will consider all nominees, regardless of their rating or number of votes. If there is tie in the public voting, they will consider the non-quantifiable merits of the projects, weighing the work against the criteria of this year’s grant voting. Criteria for finalists include a demonstration of the Collective spirit of change; the project’s apparent need of a fiscal boost; and the breadth of impact that the individuals have on community. Please keep these in mind as you vote for and rate the nominees. So, Get Out the Vote, and pass the word of the G4C on to everyone you know. These are the stories of change that inspire our communities to keep moving forward.
